The Newest Butter Board Trend - Individual Butter Bowls

We are in love with the latest butter board trend, and even came up with three new butter board recipes of our own. Butter boards are great for buffet-style meals or appetizers, but what if you are having a sit-down dinner? We came up with a hot new take on butter boards, and that's the individual butter bowl.

Rather than using a large serving platter, our butter bowls start with a little wooden bowl. We carry the perfect small wooden bowls in our Etsy shop that are sized just right for an individual serving.

To make it easy to add the butter to the bowls, we start by putting softened butter into a disposable piping bag fitted with a large star tip.

As long as the butter is room temperature, you'll be able to squeeze it right into the bowl in a pretty, decorative swirl.

Don't the big ruffles of butter look great? Make sure you don't fill the bowl too full, though, so you'll have room for toppings.

And the toppings are indeed the fun part. You can use any butter board recipe you like, but of course we're partial to the three recipes we came up with in our how to make a butter board tutorial.

In particular, we especially enjoy the classic combination of lemon zest, salt, honey, and fig. Add a few edible flowers on top for decoration, and the result is tasty AND delightful.

These individual butter bowls are perfectly at home at each place setting at a sit-down dinner. It's such a fancy and fun way to serve butter to your family and dinner guests.
