"Strawberries on Fire" Recipe - Princess Cruises Mocktail
On my last cruise with Princess, I fell in love with a new drink. The non-alcoholic "Strawberries on Fire" mocktail developed for Princess by Rob Floyd was absolutely delicious and I drank quite a few during that trip.
The drink features an unusual mix of jalapenos and strawberries, which result a delicious spicy-sweet combo that tickles all your taste buds.
When I got home I wanted more "Strawberries on Fire", and I found a few websites with Rob Floyd's recipe. In every single one, it called for fresh strawberries. But having had numerous drinks on the ship, I can tell you that they never used fresh strawberries. Ever.
I tried to make it myself with various strawberry elements, including fresh, pureed, and compote. But still, the taste wasn't right. What was I missing?
The secret ingredient in Strawberries on Fire
I reached out to Princess and asked what the bartenders used, and they actually told me! The secret is this exact brand of strawberry puree.
My first glass made with this puree was absolutely perfect.

Notes
The pepper oils have a tendency to float to the top of the drink, so if you don't want that hit of spice on your lips, use a straw.
