Review of Hoover's SmartWash PET Carpet Cleaner

My parents recently got a dog who has quickly become the love of my mom's life. This little guy was the perfect addition to their home with one exception — his muddy little feet have meant extra cleaning is required! So when Hoover asked me if I wanted to try out their new SmartWash PET Carpet Cleaner, I knew right away it was the perfect fit for my folks. I took it over to their house right away so Mom could try it out.
The SmartWash was just introduced this summer, in perfect time for all the extra messes sure to come up from everyone being home so much more than usual this year. This cleaner makes life so much easier for pet owners like my parents. It's just the right size, too — big enough to be powerful but small enough to handle easily.
The tanks for clean and dirty water are both really easy to access and fill/dump, making it super easy to use. I'm always amazed every time I clean carpets (which you should do a few times a year) because no matter how clean you think they are, there's always dirt hiding inside.
Using the SmartWash is almost as easy as regular vacuuming. Just push to wash, and pull back to dry. My mom has a bad knee, so unwieldy equipment can be rough for her, but she had no problem at all with this cleaner, and loved how easy it was to use.
It comes with an antimicrobial pet tool with hose and storage bag, too. And with the coordinating cleaning solutions, the SmartWash will be the perfect solution for keeping things clean around the holidays — both before and after guests visit.
The coolest feature of the SmartWash is something I have never seen on any carpet cleaner before. It's the Spot Chaser Pretreat Wand. There's an extra tank on the wand that holds pre-treat stain solution, which is super handy. When you want to use it, just pop the entire wand handle out and press the button on it to squirt the solution directly where it's needed. Pop the handle back on and get to cleaning. No more running to find that spray bottle under the sink!
