Chair make-over with a llama theme

Chica and I found a pair of charming, old arm chairs for $5 each at our local thrift shop. We each took one and decided to do a make-over and see how different each chair turned out. Today, I am showing you my version, which involves a lot of bright colors!

I first wiped down the chair really well to get all the built-up grime off of it. Then I took off the old seat so I could cover it with some adorable llama fabric that I found at Hobby Lobby.

Usually, I would remove the old fabric first, but in this instance, I didn’t. The seat was still quite cushy and I was afraid the pad would fall apart if I took the original fabric off, so I decided to just add new fabric over it. I stapled the fabric on, starting at the middle of each side. As I went, I made sure my little llamas on the front didn’t get warped or uneven.

Next up, I sprayed the chair with some Chalky Finish paint using my HomeRight Sprayer. Have I mentioned before how much I love this thing?

Just look what a difference this bright color and fun fabric made!

As a finishing touch, I added a bit of orange paint to the inside of the triangle.
