Mimosa bar cart with watercolor style
At the same bridal shower where I used the watercolor berry baskets as favors, I also created a mimosa bar cart for my guests. I started with my trusty bar cart from Target.
I wanted to lighten it up a bit to go with the brighter theme and to match the spring and upcoming summer. However, I didn’t want to permanently paint my bar cart, so I used some contact paper in a trendy white marble. Let me do an aside and tell you that this particular vinyl adhesive — it was fabulous! I have frequently used the rolls found at the local box store and the quality of that compared to this? It can’t compare. This is a heavyweight vinyl that was easy to apply and weeks later, it is still holding up great.
To apply the contact paper, I cut it slightly larger than the top, peeled the backing, and smoothed it down, working my way from the middle out. Once it was smooth, I used a utility knife to cut the excess along the edge. Simple!
Now, it looks like I have a bar cart with marble shelves and it worked perfectly with my mimosa theme. It was super easy to clean up any juice spills as well.
To decorate the cart, we created watercolor mimosa bar printables which we’re also sharing with you! We have a watercolor “Mimosa Bar” sign printable that I put in a simple white frame.
We’ve also created coordinating circles that I used to create a decorative banner that I hung across the front of the cart. These circles are really versatile, and can also be used them for labels, food signs, coasters, or even gift tags.
Our free mimosa bar printables even include some circles printed with juice names, perfect for labeling the fruity options on your Mimosa bar.
I just love how the whole cart came together. The look fit perfectly with my watercolor-themed bridal shower.
Everyone had so much fun choosing the juice to mix with champagne for their custom mimosas. The options were so inticing that some wanted to try them all!
