Candy Corn FreakShakes
Have you guys heard of FreakShakes? They are amazingly huge milkshakes made famous by Pâtissez, a bakery and cafe in Canberra, Australia. They throw all the rules out the window and pile each of these extreme milkshakes with even more desserts and plenty of toppings! Sounds pretty amazing, doesn’t it?
Jo and I were working on a few projects this weekend and decided to reward ourselves with our own version of a FreakShake. In keeping with the season, and to celebrate one of our favorite fall elements, we made an extreme milkshake featuring candy corn.
We started with a regular vanilla milkshake that we split in half and colored orange and yellow with food coloring. We poured it into a nice chunky mug, then we topped it with a huge dollop of sweetened whipped cream.
But that just makes it a milkshake. To be like a FreakShake, it’s got to have more. So we whipped up a batch of candy corn shaped cake pops and put them on a skewer. Then we added some candy corn-colored Rice Krispies treats and sprinkled the whole thing with candy corns and orange and yellow sprinkles. Now THAT’s an extreme milkshake!
