Rose gold picture frame redo
My dad shares my love of all things arty and crafty, unlike my mom, who prefers all things Chardonnay and spa-y. He also likes to frequent junk stores and garage sales and will bring me little finds to redo from time to time. This little frame set him back a whopping 50 cents! Way to go, Dad. He knew I would love the ornate details and he was right. This frame was begging for a redo with my new Metallic Lustre paint in Rose Gold!
Once that was dry, I used a brush and grabbed a small amount of the Rose Gold and hit the high spots on the frame. I kept adding touches of the metallic all around the fame until I was satisfied with the look.
Now that my frame was up to par, I needed something to put in it! I wanted to make a piece that would go with an upcoming Social Artworking party I will be throwing for Little Jo. Once she saw the Dream Catcher design they had, she begged me to get the supplies for her to have her friends over to paint. I altered the canvas design in Photoshop to make a piece of art work to display on the food table at the party. I apologize, I can’t share this printable with you because the original art is not my own so I am only allowed to do this for my own personal party. However, I promise that after I throw the party, we will have a whole set of coordinating printables for you!
Part of the image altering I did was to make some parts of the design black so I could use my Heidi Swapp Minc machine and rose gold foil to highlight the print.
There it goes!
The results were amazing. I am always so excited to lift of the foil and see the transformation that adding the metallic achieves. I am in love with this print!
I love how the print looks in the altered frame. I can’t wait to use it as a decoration at the Social Artworking party.
