Rose gold succulent wreath
I’m super excited about my new iPhone arriving soon! I went with the Rose Gold giant one and I can’t wait to use the new camera on it. My new phone color inspired this succulent wreath makeover. I wanted to create a succulent wreath and wanted to make it metallic to fit more in with the fall. I started shopping for succulent sprigs and wreath forms and quickly realized how EXPENSIVE this was going to be. Not to be dissuaded, I went to one of my favorite places to shop, Save-On-Crafts.com. You can find anything there and at great prices. I found a great already-made succulent wreath for a fraction of what it would have taken to make it on my own. Score!
I know, it’s pretty as it is, but I wanted something different. I wanted to highlight the forms of the succulents and give it some shine.
Out comes the trusty spray paint! The Rust-Oleum Rose Gold Metallic didn’t say it would specifically work on plastic so I went ahead and picked up a primer in a similar shade to use first. Just in case.
I did a couple of light coats of the primer color, making sure to try and get into all of the nooks and crannies so there wouldn’t be any green showing when it was finished.
And then I finished with two coats of the Rose Gold. I am a big fan of this warm color and I think it is a great alternative to the traditional fall color palette. I still have some Rose Gold left, so I am trying to decide what else to spray paint with it.
