Valentine’s Day is just a couple of weeks away now, so I thought I would share this super simple wreath idea. The supplies are minimal and the technique is really simple, but does take a bit of time. I did it mostly while watching television at night. Here you go!
Start out by purchasing a wire heart shaped wreath form, a roll of red glitter tulle, and a roll of pink tulle (all of which can also be purchased at Hobby Lobby).
Cut pieces of the pink tulle about 3 inches long. Wrap it around the outer wire of your wreath and tie a simple knot. Continue to tie on more pieces of tulle until you have gone all the way around the frame on the outermost wire. Then start with the red glitter tulle, and tie 3-inch pieces along the inner wires of the frame. I did my wreath with one outside row of pink and two interior rows of red, but you can do yours in whatever colors you like. I even considered using white and pink instead of red and pink for my wreath.
I’ll share a couple of tips about working with the glitter tulle. First, it makes a mess. Glitter is everywhere. Just check out the picture I posted on our Facebook page of Chica’s glitter-covered jeans! To keep the glitter at bay, work on top of a towel that you can shake off into the trash later. Second, the glitter tulle is a lot stiffer than the pink, so it is a little harder to tie. It’s not a big deal, but it’s something to be aware of.
That’s pretty much the gist of making this wreath. It was very easy, but it did take a bit of time. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Lovely wreath! I can’t wait to make my own for Valentines. Love the glitter tulle!
I think this is so pretty and can be put away so that it lasts for a few years.
