- Easter Bag Tag Template (PDF)
We’ve had such fun with custom bag tags for treats for other holidays (like Halloween and Christmas) that I thought it would be a good idea to make one for Easter too.
I made a super-easy template for you to download and print, and I coordinated it with the Easter egg carton label and egg holders we’ve shared with you in the past. Don’t you just love matching sets?
Just download the template, print it onto white card stock, and cut it out with your paper trimmer. Then fold each tag in half.
To hold your treats, you’ll need some 5″ wide clear cellophane treat bags. You can also use paper lunch bag if you’re packaging something larger like popcorn.
Fill the bag with whatever candy or treats you like. I thought yellow bunny-shaped marshmallow Peeps would be absolutely perfect, and 6 of them fit beautifully into the bag.
Depending on how tall your bag is, either trim it or fold it over, then add the tag to the top. Secure it with a couple of staples.
Part of me just wanted to tear the bag back open and eating the Peeps inside, but it looked so cute that I was able to resist.
For those (like my Honey) who don’t like Peeps, I did another set of treat bags with chocolate eggs inside. Since the candies were smaller and heavier than the Peeps, I folded over the top of the bag before stapling the tag in place.
These little chocolate eggs look perfect with the eggs on the tag, don’t you think?
These bag tags make it so easy to prepare adorable treats for your kids to take to school, or for the Easter Bunny to put in their baskets. You can put anything inside, like jellybeans or marshmallow eggs or even toys or other small prizes.

Hi Chica and Jo,
Just stumbled across your website and I love what I see. As a preschool teacher, I see a lot of ideas that I can use. I would love to see tags printed with “Happy Spring” in addition to “Happy Easter” since some of my students don’t celebrate Easter. “Happy Resurection Day” would be great for my Sunday School class as well.
