Paper lanterns for fall Posted by Chica

We’ve been pretty big fans of ColorArtz airbrush system ever since we were introduced to it last year, as you can tell by the many projects we’ve used it on. I’ve got another such project to share with you today, just in time for fall.

I started off with some plain, white paper lanterns and just sprayed them with the paint. To keep with the fall color theme, I used Blonde Ambition on the top, Mango Tango in the middle, and Crushed Red Velvet on the bottom.

The ColorArtz system has such a fine mist that it was easy to gradually blend my colors into each other. You could, of course, use regular spray paint or craft paints on your lanterns, but you will have a hard time getting such a smooth transition from one color to the next. Plus, the airbrush is totally fun to use!

Once the lanterns were dry, I just hung them over the bulbs on a string of Christmas lights and they were ready to decorate with.

As easy as this was, I should never have boring lights at a party again!
