Yup, here I sit like a fool trying to read this.
Good one!
LOL I grabbed my mirror about 3 lines down LOL I LOVE this trick I MUST play it on my mom and my brother. He lives with her and I think they BOTH will get a rise out of it!
THAT was funny. Well done.:)
hahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahhahaha what a laugh. I spent all day preparing, then my victim chose to eat an orange instead, so i had to play the trick on myself. hours of fun!
Oh Amy, how frustrating! Hope you enjoyed the trick though
OK, I’m a year late, BUT, I actually pulled this trick off almost 35 years ago! My unsuspecting victim was my sweet Grandma, whom I was spending precious one on one time with for “spring break!”
You can imagine how I sat there, an anxious 6 year old, waiting for Grandma to finish making her tea, sit down to open her banana to put on her daily cereal (if I recall, I had taken the banana from the bunch and put it next to the bowl so she would open the right one!)
I don’t remember where I got the idea from, could have been Highlight Magazine?
Anyway, I planned it for weeks, and the night before I could barely sleep knowing I was going to pull it off. I said Abracadabra right before she started to peel the banana and she was either VERY amazed or a VERY talented actress because she was blown away. My mom says Grandma brought it up many, many times over the years.
I lost my grandma 25 years ago, but I will never, ever forget that morning. I think our best ideas, crafts and tips are those that create magical moments with those we love, or more time to have to make those moments.
Thanks for bringing up a very happy memory on what has been a difficult day. Keep doing what you do!!
Kathryn, that is such a lovely story! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Not only did we brighten your day, but now whenever I think of this trick, I will think of your story and you will brighten mine as well
