Pumpkin juice recipe Posted by Jo

We’ve spent a lot of time here talking about Harry Potter’s famous Butterbeer, but we haven’t yet touched on the other drink mentioned frequently throughout the Harry Potter novels — pumpkin juice!  For my Harry Potter movie release party, I wanted to have serve some pumpkin juice to my guests, as well as the Butterbeer.

You can get a version of pumpkin juice at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, but I didn’t really like that one, so I’ve come up with my own recipe!

Pumpkin Juice Recipe

Blend all ingredients thoroughly and serve chilled. Shake or stir before drinking.

Open a 15oz can of pumpkin puree (make sure it’s not pie filling) and add it to a bowl with a 64oz bottle of V8 Splash Tropical Blend.  All these veggies mean this pumpkin juice is going to be chock full of good-for-you stuff!

Add one tablespoon of ground cardamom and blend well with an immersion blender.  Or, you can put these ingredients in your stand mixer or blender or even whisk them by hand.  Whatever makes you happy!

If all your ingredients were chilled to start, it’s ready to serve at this point, but you know we can’t just serve juice in normal old glasses for a party! I decided to use pint jars with pumpkin juice labels on top.  The pint jars are nice because I can fill them up ahead of time and keep them cold in the fridge. Then I just left a sign next to the stack of Pumpkin Juices jars, reminding my guests to shake the jar before drinking.  (The heavy pumpkin will settle to the bottom after a little while.)

Here’s the download for the labels. You can print on regular paper or sticker paper. If you are going to place your pint glasses in ice, I would recommend that you laminate the labels with a laminator or packing tape to prevent them from getting wet and ruined.

Once your labels are printed, cut them out. If you used sticker paper, you can just peel and stick onto your jar lids. If you used regular paper, use some double-sided tape to adhere them.

What a quick and easy refreshment for your next Harry Potter party!

And if all that weren’t enough, we also made you a downloadable template for pumpkin juice recipe cards, and it matches the recipe cards we gave you for our hot and cold Butterbeer. These pumpkin juice recipe cards are ready to print out and laminate to put in with a gift basket full of drinks!

Where’s the fun little recipe card to match the butterbeer ones? Just thought that was a great idea! Can’t wait to try the recipes out, esp with it being the holidays and all! Cheers!

katzkraydel, I don’t know why we didn’t think of making a recipe card at first! However, I’ve gone back and made one that matches the others. You can download it with the links above!
