Labeling Thanksgiving leftovers Posted by Chica

Every year on Thanksgiving, my mom (who usually hosts) makes a wonderful meal for the whole family. After we’ve had our fill and cleaned up, there is always tons of food left over. While the urge might be to make less food in the first place, I think you’ll agree that Thanksgiving leftovers are one of the best parts of the holiday! We always divvy up the turkey, potatoes, stuffing, and other dishes into an army of waiting disposable food storage tubs and bags. My sister and I always make sure to get plenty of our favorites and we stack our containers up in the fridge for when we’re ready to head home later that night.

There’s just one problem, though. We always have to remember which containers are whose. We don’t want Grandma taking home the sweet potatoes she can’t eat, and I can’t handle it if I miss out on the extra stuffing I always get. So, I decided this year to solve this problem with labels!

Just download our free labels and print them out to use for your own Thanksgiving leftovers! This template is perfectly sized to print onto Avery 5164 shipping labels, which measure 3 1/3″ x 4″. You could also print them onto sticker paper sheets and cut them apart. Then just mark each label with the contents of the container and you’re good to go!

I was inspired by Thanksgiving when I made these, but I made sure to make the design generic enough to use for any holiday. Jo and I are both going to keep a few sheets of these on hand for the many many times we share leftovers with friends!
