Candy corn graham cracker treats

For Little Jo’s upcoming Halloween bash, I wanted to make a new treat.  Chica and I had been thinking a lot about candy corn recently because of the candy corn costume she made for MiniMe and I wondered if I could make a sweet and unexpected treat that looked like candy corn.  I rummaged through my pantry and emerged with a box of graham crackers, wondering if I could cut them into triangles.

Turns out you CAN cut them into triangles if you are really careful!  Use a serrated knife to gently saw the edges off to make a triangle shape.  I got two triangles out of one graham cracker rectangle.

That was the hardest part.  Now, you just need to dip your whole cracker into a bowl of white candy melts. Place them on your parchment paper to harden.

Now melt some orange candy melts in a plastic baggie and snip off the end.  This just makes it easier to put a row of the melted chocolate on the end of your cracker.  (However, you will notice that I made the same mistake Chica did and put the icing on in a white, yellow, orange pattern instead of the proper white, orange, yellow pattern that you see on candy corn.  Oh well, at least you all can learn from our mistake!)

After I piped the orange on, I used a butter knife to gently smooth the candy melts down.  Wait for the orange to dry and then apply the yellow in the same manner.

Besides being super tasty, look at how cute they are arranged in a bowl of real candy corn.  Won’t this look great on the snack table?
