With Halloween fast approaching, I’m once again on the hunt for fun, creepy snack ideas to serve the kids at parties. Things like our eerie eyeball snacks are gross, and my niece will be the first to tell you that if it’s gross, it’s awesome.
So I flipped out when I saw these Jell-O “blood” worms over at The Idea Room.
Aren’t those so realistic? They are made with simple ingredients like Jell-O and cream, and the trick is the mold — flexible drinking straws. Amy will tell you all about it in her tutorial, so go check it out. I am hoping to make these for Little Jo’s Halloween party this year, if I have time. The kids will love them!

Chica, these are truly gross!
Wow! Fun to see my worms on here. Thanks so much for sharing and linking up! They are truly gross and fantastic at the same time! Thanks!
The jello doesn’t stick in the straws?
Hi Marsha. Amy’s tutorial says that running hot tap water over the straws releases the Jell-O. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but she got good results, so I’m sure it works!
