Remember earlier this summer when I created personalized beach buckets for the kids? I used ordinary colored duct tape, which I cut into letters and shapes with my Cricut. Then I just stuck the letters to the bucket to make a really durable decoration that the kids loved.
Well, I’ve done it again, this time for Halloween! Using the same technique as before, I put orange duct tape on my cutting mat and let my Cricut do all the work. I put the letters on a plain, black pail and created a really easy and cute candy bucket for trick-or-treating! As an extra touch to not only decorate the bucket but to make it more comfortable for little hands to hold, I cut some orange felt into strips and wrapped it around the handle.
The personalization possibilities are endless, too. You could easily add your child’s name or a phrase that suits his or her costume. With the Halloween-themed Cricut cartridges, you could even add fun shapes, monsters, or Jack-o-Lantern features.
Here’s another bucket I made for Witch’s Brew, complete with a decorative wand. This time, I used colorful ribbon to wrap the bucket’s handle. I just love it!

I didn’t realize your beach buckets had been cut out with the cricut. I am a duct tape lover! I love all the different patterns and colors it now comes in. I have a cricut, but have never used it yet. I am now going to have to get out my duct tape, my cricut and make something for our camper. We bought a new to us, 2001 camper and not I just have to go about and personalize things for it. I sooo love everythinbg you guys do! Have a great week!
What a great idea to use this technique to decorate the camper, Sheryl! We’re glad we were able to open up a new crafting inspiration for you
I really likes your idea for the buckets with the duct tape letters ect. I was also thinking instead of using felt to wrap on the handle, how about using chenille pipe cleaners the fat ones to wrap them with?

Virginia, that would be a great idea as well, it would be really fluffy!
