New way to share photos with custom photostrips Posted by Jo

Wink Shutterfly photostripI was ordering some prints from Shutterfly.com the other day and noticed they have a new product called photostrips.  Since they are currently offering one for free, I had to try it out!  You can use your pictures from Shutterfly, Flickr, Facebook or your iPhone to create a photostrip that has 3, 4, or 5 photos and you can apply different effects as well.  For my first one,  I used some pictures of Little Jo and Mini Me playing in the pool.  I liked the colors so I didn’t apply any extra effects to them.

You can then choose where you want your photostrips sent.  If you don’t know someone’s postal mail address, you can simply add all them via e-mail address and Shutterfly will notify them for you, and request a mailing address.  It’s really a super easy way to share a fun memento with someone.

When your photostrip arrives, it comes in a neat envelope where the enclosure and picture strip come out as you open the envelope. It’s very clever.

I just downloaded the Wink app for my iPhone and ordered another photostrip from it!  It was so easy to add the pictures from my phone and Facebook and send a strip off to my friend.  Make sure you go grab the free app from the App Store on iTunes soon so you can get your free photostrip!

I can think of a million uses for these awesome little photostrips. I plan on sending a strip to my vacation buddies with photos they will enjoy. What a great way to remember our trip! I also think a photostrip of wedding photos would be a great surprise in a bride and groom’s mailbox when they returned from their honeymoon, or would be a unique and fun new way to announce the birth of a baby.

    It’s 8/19/10 – it’s no longer free, but $2.50 is ok.
