Remember Jo’s really cute crayon party invitation idea? One of our readers, Kathy, recently used that idea for her daughter’s crayon-themed birthday party. She shared some other details with us about the party, including a fun party favor she made out of chocolate-covered pretzels.
Following an idea she found over on Parties by Hardie, Kathy dipped crayon-sized pretzel sticks into various colors of melted chocolate and then wrapped them with labels to make them look like crayons. Then she put them in a cute box that she personalized with her daughter’s name. Aren’t they so cute?
We love the result and just had to show you all. Kathy, thanks for sharing it with us!

Those are adorable! But my kids would be soooooo confused! LOL!
This is really a cute idea, but I don’t happen to have dozens of 16-Count crayon boxes. Any chance you took one apart an made an easy-to-print template?
melissa, we are planning to make a downloadable template in the near future. Keep checking back
So stinkin’ cute!! Almost did this for E’s Rainbow party last week but didn’t want to drive all over town to deliver them!! LOL! ; )
still no template?? I have 2 dozen boxes of 8-count crayons but would still like to personalize the outside of the box. Thanks
TashaShae, we finally have a template! You can download and print our customizable crayon box template and make your own boxes.
How do I get the labels for the pretzel crayons?
Nancy, we shared this idea from Parties by Hardie, so you might want to look there to see if she mentions where she got the labels.
Hi,
The parties by Hardie webiste does not work…Do youhave another link to the template for the chocoate covered pretzel box? I LOVE this idea, but i just made one of the regular boxes and it seems it woudl not fit a pretzel rod size? Thanks for any info you have! And thank you for these AMAZING templates!
Sharon, I did some Googling and discovered that the “Parties by Hardie” author has a new online home. I found a new version of her original pretzel crayon treat project and also found a link to the box template she used. Hope that helps!
The first site doesn’t work … I would like to try this idea for my son crayola party…
Raven, it looks like that site no longer exists. However, you can find the box template the original author used here.

Raven, take a look at this selection of candy molds, which includes several crayon-shaped ones.
