February 9, 2010
Chica

First, let me congratulate Brenda B. and Iisha, the two lucky ladies who won our most recent giveaway and will each be receiving a 2-piece set of non-stick scissors. We love these scissors and we’re sure you will, too!

Now I’d like to announce our next giveaway. Jo and I are always joking about how we use so much white cardstock in our projects, because we’re always printing out tags, cards, and such. That also means we use our printers a lot, and we’ll bet you do, too. But what if you don’t have a nice color printer? Well, we’d like to help.

We’ve giving away a brand new HP Deskjet D2660 Printer!

Giveaway - HP Deskjet D2660 printer

This printer is great if you’re looking for an basic printer that’s easy to set up and use. It’s a great tool for any crafter, and can help with so many projects. It has some pretty cool features, like:

Then leave a comment below, telling us what project you found. What a great way to find something new to inspire you, and I’ll bet you’ll learn about interesting new projects from your fellow readers’ comments, too!

The deadline for entries is Monday, March 1, 2010, at 11:59 PM, EST.

WINNERS: Congratulations to our winner, Kathy Mormino! Her comment was:

12. Kathy Mormino: I found the downloads for the Crayon wrappers on Chica and Jo and was inspired to make my daughter’s 2nd birthday party theme Crayons (b/c she EATS them as much as she colors with them!)!!

I used your template to make customized crayon wrappers for her party! And it didn’t stop there- I made a Crayola Box cake, complete with crayons sticking out of it and then I made Wilton Candy melt covered pretzels that looked like REAL crayons, including personalized boxes! (photos available upon request!) What fun!! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Kathy, we love your crayon party ideas and your creativity. We know this printer will be in great hands and we can’t wait to hear about what other projects you come up with!

Thanks to everyone else who entered. You did a great job of finding our downloads and we’re so happy to hear that you love using them for projects.

For those of you who didn’t win, please keep an eye on our giveaways page for our next giveaway!

I found a downloadable template for the custom favor boxes that seemed really neat. I’m going to have to use it next time I throw a party.

I also really liked the kindle cover (although it doesn’t have a template) and I’m really excited about the formula that will let me adapt it to my nook :) I’ve been wanting a cover that says “Don’t Panic” on it (as I practically worship Douglas Adams) and have been trying to think of the best way to make it. :)

Like always, my favorite download is the Customized Notepads! EVERYONE loves them and EVERYONE needs them for daily life. Thank you for another opportunity to win such awesome prizes, however I am a bit saddened that the craft projects are slowing down in replace of prizes. Sounds crazy, yes, but by golly your craft projects are the best prizes anyone could get!

I love the Valentines day candle made from vintage valentines day cards.

I love this technique using the clear images transposed onto con-tact paper.

I would love to use this method to create a gift for my husband. He grew up the East Germany, which was a completely different world from anything we can imagine. He had very basic toys even just 30 years ago, things that were common stateside 50 years or more ago. So I would love to research and find some images of things he played with in his childhood or common brands and logos. I am not sure what yet I will decorate. I am open to ideas if anyone has any. But I know it would make him smile. He is always so excited when he sees things from the DDr :)
