As part of our Feature Friday series, I once highlighted an idea from 24/7 Moms for having a card making kit on hand, all contained within a binder. I really loved this idea and and stowed it away in my memory bank of things to do later. Last week, I found myself feeling guilty when I was caught not having a card for my good friend’s birthday. I decided I needed to go ahead and dust this tip off and make one of these kits.
I already had the binder on hand, and used scrapbook paper from my stash to decorate it. Inside, I used a neat Case-it accordion folder organizer to hold glue sticks, scissors, tape, stickers and the blank cards. You can’t see it in the picture, but the blue thing does have an expanding file folder within it. I organized the stickers and other embellishments by occasion within the folders. I included some markers in a pencil pouch and some construction paper from the dollar store and that completed my binder. My daughter loves it and can’t wait to receive her first card-making assignment!
