Every time I make deviled eggs (which is a lot in the summer months), I’m kind of in awe of the huge pile of egg shells that gathers by the time I’m done peeling the eggs. I always think there must be something crafty that can be done with them, but I’ve never come up with an idea. However, Gail from Can’t Stop Making Things didn’t have such a roadblock. On her blog, she illustrates a clever and unique idea for covering a flat surface (like a box or table) with egg shells, then distressing them to look like old ivory. And she even shares a great trick for using clear nail polish as an alternative surface sealer that’s durable, glossy, and inexpensive. Love it!
