I don’t have kids, but I do spend a lot of time with my 4-year-old niece. Whenever her parents pick her up from an afternoon at my house, there’s always a debriefing session where I tell them what she ate, what we did, and whether or not she napped. I couldn’t help but think of this when I saw these adorable downloadable playdate cards on one of my new favorite blogs, Tangarang. You just download the template and print out some cards to keep on hand. Then when you host a playdate, jot some notes down for each child’s parents. I this this is an incredibly clever and useful idea. I have enough trouble informing parents about ONE kid… I can only imagine how hard it must be for folks who host playdates with several children at once!
While you’re on Tangarang, be sure to look around at the other ideas and projects. The blog’s author, Kira, hasn’t been writing long yet, but she is off to a great start. I really love her inspirational “mood boards”. Each is a collection of lovely images geared towards a holiday like Thanksgiving or a fun idea like a science-themed birthday party. So cool!
