I love receiving a package in the mail. Even when I know what is inside, it is always exciting to open it up to reveal the treasures within. I recently returned from a business trip and to my delight, I had a few packages waiting for me. One of the boxes contained a stack of fabric I ordered from a recent Etsy.com discovery. The shop is called ShearBliss and the fabric choices she has available are unique and quite adorable! I love the whimsical patterns. I don’t know what I am going to make yet with my new pile of fabric but I do know that I am inspired by just looking at it sitting on my work table. Readers, any suggestions for some projects I could do with my new fabric?

I *LOVE* buying fabric on Etsy! You find the coolest stuff. You have some really cute picks here. I would get started making a few Christmas gifts if it was my stash. Maybe some coin purses, small totes, travel containers, etc.

Rachel, I like the idea of some travel containers for my daughter. We love to travel so I am always looking for new bags and such. Let me know if you see anything really cute as you search your favorite sites.

My comment on loving to travel inspired a reader to send me this link for making a passport cover: http://sewbunnybum.blogspot.com/2008/04/passport-sleeve-tutorial.html

I do love ordering on etsy…but another great place to get awesome fabric is on http://www.spoonflower.com the best part about it is that they print from your own designs :) I made an awesome squid handbag with some squid fabric that I made there. :)
