Sometimes the urge to drink a white wine might strike you and you don’t want to wait for it to chill. With other beverages, you could just add a few ice cubes, but melting ice would ruin wine pretty quickly, so that won’t work this time. Sure, you can use plastic reusable ice cubes, but those aren’t quite classy enough for wine.
Instead, try keeping a cup of green grapes in the freezer! They will freeze into little ice balls that will not only chill your wine quickly, but they won’t affect the taste of the wine and will make a fun snack when the glass is empty. Besides, grapes and wine are the perfect pair.
Imagine how impressed your party guests will be when you are able to immediately serve a bottle of wine one of them brought, and with such a fitting garnish as well.
P.S. Frozen grapes are also a yummy snack for kids and a healthful alternative to popsicles or ice cream on a hot day.

How long do the grapes keep in the freezer? This is such a classy idea, thank you so much!
I’m not sure how long they would keep, Nicole. I usually eat them too fast to find out! We’d love to hear what results you get though
Did anyone ever find out how long they stay edible in the freezer?
Hi Jennie. I haven’t tried yet, but I’m grocery shopping later today. I’ll get some grapes and report back in a few days
Ok ladies, I have some results! I put some green grapes in the freezer on Sunday afternoon and have been watching them. As of today (Thursday), they are starting to turn a little yellow at the stem end. So, I would say that for maximum freshness and appealing color in a wine glass, don’t keep them longer than 3 or 4 days. They’ll still be edible for a few more days, I think, but they won’t be super bright green (and therefore not as appealing in your wine glass). Hope that helps!
