Quick Tip – Contact lens case use Posted by Jo
June 27, 2008

I read a great tip in Real Simple magazine the other day I wanted to share with you all. It suggested storing pills in a contact lens case. It can easily hold a few essential non-prescription medicines such as Benadryl or aspirin. “Pop one into your handbag and you’ll have a headache remedy handy when the man in seat 7A drones on about his herniated disk.”

I’ve also used one to hold salt and pepper to take with me. I tossed it into my picnic bag and happily salted my watermelon later!

Do you use your contact lens cases for anything besides your lenses?

I use one of these containers to carry ointment. One side is used for Vicks VapoRub and the other is just regular Vasoline. I transfer enough of the ointments to fill up each side. The lids screw on so tightly that nothing leaks out. This lasts a long time since you only use just a dap whenever you use it.
