I recently acquired a Wii Fit. I’ve been using it for only five days so far but my body can already tell the difference. I feel muscles now that I didn’t even know existed before! I even jogged and I never jog! Anyway, it’s a great “game” and I will keep you posted on my progress with using it. But in the meantime, I would like to share a tip with you all.
When my daughter was learning to walk, we bought some of those foam mats to put down on the hard floors for her to play on and fall on. We’ve liked them so much, we have just kept them down. One set of ours happens to be in front of the television where the Wii is and I learned that it is great to exercise on them. When I did the jogging, which you don’t do on the included board, it cushioned the floor and made the running a lot more tolerable on my aging knees and back. You really only need about four squares worth to cover the area for the Wii Fit board to rest on and leave you enough space to jog behind it when necessary. One last thing, in order for the board to register your measurements correctly, make sure to put the extenders on the feet if you do decide to go with the foam squares.
