I’d be willing to bet every one of you has had trouble with a roll of aluminum foil or plastic wrap at some point in the past. The kind of trouble where the roll keeps falling out of the box as you pull on end of the wrap. It’s so frustrating, isn’t it?
I was looking at a roll of aluminum foil the other day, trying to come up with a solution, and there it was, staring me in the face.
Look on the end of your box of aluminum foil. If it’s Reynolds Wrap like mine is, you’ll see that little tab that says “Press here to lock end”. Just press it in
with your finger (do both ends), and the roll is instantly locked in place!
You can even turn the box upside down and the roll won’t fall out, but the foil will continue to pull out smoothly and easily.
I looked on all the boxes of wrap in my kitchen and they all had similar tabs. I know I didn’t invent this trick — clearly the wrap companies did — but I had no idea it was there before, and I feel like I found a little treasure. I called several friends (including Jo) and family members and not one of them knew those tabs were there.
Now go take advantage of this little trick and keep your wraps in line!

Ok – I can not wait to go home (I am at work) and try this. I almost threw a roll of saran wrap across the room JUST LAST NIGHT because the stupid thing would not stay in place when I tried to roll it out! LOL – if those little tabs are there, I am going to have to apologize the roll of saran wrap. hahaha…Thanks for the tip!
