For extra creamy mashed potatoes, try my secret:

Instead of the traditional butter and milk, I add a half a block of cream cheese to the potatoes as they are whipping in the mixer. The cream cheese lends a wonderfully rich and creamy texture to the potatoes that everyone loves, and few can identify.

    You could also substitute sour cream for some or all of the milk. Combine with butter, and wow! Those are some good potatoes.

    mayonise, makes the mashed potatoes to die for. mayo, butter and a little milk. omg
