Add trim molding to a wallpaper border Posted by Jo

Rope molding border Rope molding border closeWallpaper border is great but it can be a little flat and can sometimes get lost on the wall. When I did a nursery for my daughter, I fell in love with an antique rocking horse border. I knew I wanted it at a chair rail height but it was missing a little something.

The little something turned out to be a small rope trim molding I found on eBay. My Dad stained it for me to match the furniture and hung it along the top and bottom of the border. This provided a wonderful 3-D effect and really added a great finishing touch to the room!

This idea can be applied to any room with any border and any style molding.
